Pakistan Tobacco Company - Syed Muhammad Ali Abrar

Ali is a seasoned Finance professional with a strong drive for results and a passion for talent development. Ali joined British American Tobacco in 2005 in Pakistan and went on to hold leadership positions in several markets including GBS KL and Finance Director roles in Papa New Guinea, Iran and Sri Lanka and most recently as Area Finance Controller of APMEA West. In last couple of years, Ali has been instrumental in driving transformational initiatives in line with group’s priorities, navigating businesses to deliver excellent results under challenging external environment while continuously building talent for future.

Ali has been appointed as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director of Pakistan Tobacco Company with effect from 1st December 2023. In the new role, Ali’s rich experience will be pivotal in enabling the sustained growth of Pakistan business.
